According to Daily Record, This years MOBO Awards is set to be held in Glasgow and according to reports, Leona Lewis has been asked to be a part of the show. More info is below:
SCOTLAND is set to host the prestigious Mobo music awards. Plans are being finalised for the glittering ceremony in Glasgow’s SECC.
The Music of Black Origin awards, which have been held in London since they were established in 1995, will star the cream of R&B, hip hop, reggae and rap from all over the world.
Already the word is out that Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Craig David will be asked to take part in the show, which will be broadcast live on the BBC.
Last night was the 2009 Grammy Awards and I have added about 40 photos of our beautiful Leona Lewis arriving on the red carpet. Leona looked so glam & gorgeous – she really took my breath away with her beauty last night. She wore a gold dress that fitted her like a complete DREAM! Check out the beautiful photos.
And sad, but true, Leona did not win any Grammy’s last night – which is very upsetting. There’s always next year, right?

Leona Lewis has been named Billboard’s top new artist of the year, determined by performance on Billboard’s albums and singles charts.
It was only in March that Lewis became the first British female to top the U.S. charts in over 20 years with her hit single “Bleeding Love.”
Last week, the Brit beauty nabbed three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Bleeding Love,” while her debut album Spirit received a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
With her powerful vocals, Lewis is often compared to contemporary greats like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
“It’s quite scary,” she recently said of the comparisons. “It’s a massive compliment. Personally I’ve got a lot of hard work to do.”
Leona recently performed on the Swedish version of American Idol where she sung her single Forgive Me. Leona totally killed the performance and the crowd really went crazy for her. Yet another performance knocked out of the ball park!
Leona has spoken out to the press about being nominated for 3 Grammy Awards for her debut album ‘Spirit’. Here is what Leona had to say :
“I am so thrilled to have been nominated for 3 Grammy Awards! I am totally floored. Wow! I am so lucky to have worked on this album with so many great people and it’s such an honor to be recognized by the Recording Academy. It’s been an incredible year!”

Leona is nominated for ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2008 IN Music Awards, which are awards based in Canada. Leona is already in the lead with an overwhelming 44% of the votes! Go Leona! Please take a few seconds out to vote for our Princess.
As we hoped, here is the video of our girl performing Bleeding Love live at the 2008 Media Prize Awards. Leona and the band sounded truly incredible and the audience loved it! American actress Meg Ryan was also in the audience and clearly she really liked the performance.
Leona was then presented with the Bambi Award for Shooting Star – which is incredible! Congrats Leona on yet another win!
Our Princess Leona looked spectacular as she arrived and performed at this years Bambi Media Prize Awards which were held in Offenburg, Germany. Leona was awarded the prize for Shooting Star at the Awards’ 60th anniversary ceremony.

Here are the video downloads of our Princess Leona during her red-carpet interview and performing at the 2008 American Music Awards earlier tonight! Leona was interviewed by So You Think You Can Dance judge Carrie Ann Inaba and she spoke on her dress, preparation, and who she was looking forward for at the show. Leona’s bubbly personality blossoms during the interview! About 75 captures have been added from the interview and performance.
I have also added Leona’s peformance of Better In Time. Leona did a totally different version of the song – a more rock edge and it could not have sounded BETTER! Her vocals were on point and she blew the entire crowd away. Such an amazing performance!
