Leona Lewis has made “quite an impression in Hollywood” and could soon be in line for a Hollywood movie career.
Leona recorded the theme for James Cameron’s new film Avatar earlier this year. It is said that Leona impressed the director so much that he is considering casting her in a forthcoming film.
A source said: “James is well known for casting strong females in his films and he sees that Quality in Leona. She has made quite an impression in Hollywood and James is one of a number of people interested in developing her performance skills for film.”
Leona has recently revealed that she would prefer to write a screenplay, saying: “I love movies but I’m more into scriptwriting and the actual story and behind the scenes. But I wouldn’t say no if it was the right thing.”

Leona Lewis to perform in Jackson tribute show

Leona Lewis is set to perform at a Michael Jackson tribute show which is to be held at London’s O2 Arena. Other celebs such as Justin Timberlake and Usher will also perform at the event.
London (ANI): Singer Leona Lewis is set to perform in Michael Jackson tribute show to be held at London’s O2 Arena, as per sources. Apart from the X-factor winner, big stars including Justin Timberlake and Usher have reportedly been invited to share the stage to sing cover versions of their favourite Jackson hits.
“Huge stars such as Leona, Usher and Justin have expressed enthusiasm about the project,” the Sun quoted a source as saying. However, the details of the one-off show promoted by AEG Live has not been finalised yet. The officials are allegedly working around the clock to put in place a fitting tribute to the legend.
“There has been frantic activity both in AEG’s London and Los Angeles
offices. Executives want to stage a touching tribute to Michael and think the O2 would be a fitting location.” The concert will reportedly feature maximum possible video clips of Jackson rehearsing for ‘This Is It’ concert in LA.
The source added: “It will be a celebration of Jacko’s life through his music. “The producers want to avoid a sombre memorial tone and intend the evening to be a joyful event focusing on Jacko’s extraordinary legacy.”
A date is yet to be settled, but promoters hope to stage it this summer. The late King of Pop was supposed to perform a record-breaking stint of 50 shows at the O2 arena.

Leona Lewis Not Performing With Michael Jackson

 Leona Lewis spoke to The London Paper about the recent rumors of her being the opening act for Michael Jackson and also on her relationship status with longtime boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.
LEONA LEWIS has scotched speculation she is to perform with Michael Jackson during his shows The O2 next month.
The Hackney girl, 24, is preparing for her first London gig of the year on Sunday, when she will play at the 95.8 Capital FM Summertime Ball at the Emirates Stadium.
In an exclusive chat with thelondonpaper, the X Factor star said of the Jacko link-up: “It’s not true. If it was, it would be amazing. He’s incredible.”
Despite speculation Jacko might not be able to pull off the 50-date comeback, Leona said: “I think he’s going to do really well. The people around him wouldn’t let him do it if they think he couldn’t handle it. He is Michael Jackson, afterall.”
The multi-million selling singer also denied stories she turned down performing for the Obamas at the White House. “I wouldn’t turn that down, it would be an absolute honour,” she said, refuting suggestions she is turning into a pop diva.
And she was adamant her career has not affected her love life, even though she is spending more time in the US. She is still with her long-term love Lou Al-Chamaa.
“We’re still together,” she said. “I see reports sometimes that we’ve broken up. It’s just about understanding each other’s needs and working it out.”

According to the LA Times, Leona Lewis has purchased a home in Los Angeles, California! This would be while she is over here recording her album. From the looks of it, the home of course is amazing!
British singer Leona Lewis has leased a furnished Hollywood Hills contemporary that was listed for close to $9,000 a month.
Designed for entertaining, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom house has an open living room, dining room and kitchen with glass doors to the backyard. The palm tree-lined outdoor living space includes a plasma TV and a dining and bar area. Stone decks surround the swimming pool.
Not a bad base of operations while she’s in the States working on her next album.

It seems Leona has also been nominated for PETA’s “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian” once again this year! Congratulations to Leona! She was already named their person of the year so this is just as great for her!
As well as being named their Person of the Year 2008, animal activist group PETA have now added Leona to their list of the World’s Sexiest Vegetarians!

I’m sure everyone has already heard about this, but I have just posted this article on which Leona Lewis fled the US and went back home to London for a few days after she was terrified by a stalker. The incident really scared Leona and she made sure that she got a huge security upgrade at her mansion.
Poor Leona. I hope she’s doing much better now.
Leona Lewis has been forced to leave her new £4 million mansion after apparently encountering a mad fan.
The Mirror reports that the Bleeding Love singer is now back in Britain while security at her Hollywood Hills home is improved.
A source told the newspaper: “Leona had just gone to the shops to pick up ssome bits and pieces and was followed all the way back home by this man. She was completely unsettled by this…
“When she looked out the window later the man was still there, staring right at her. It freaked Leona out big time. She feared she was being stalked.”
LL has been working on her second album in the States recently with One Republic man Ryan Tedder.

Talent show divas Leona Lewis and Jordin are planning to hit the charts with a powerful duet.
Lewis, who triumphed in Britain’s The X Factor, and former American Idol champion Sparks want to blast the roof off the pop charts with a powerful tune that could be written by Jesse MCCartney, the man behind the Brit’s massive Bleeding Love hit.
Sparks is currently working with singer/songwriter MCCartney on new material, and she’s desperate to get Lewis in the studio with her.
She says, “I talked to her and it would be really cool to do a big female-empowerment duet.”

According to Daily Record, This years MOBO Awards is set to be held in Glasgow and according to reports, Leona Lewis has been asked to be a part of the show. More info is below:
SCOTLAND is set to host the prestigious Mobo music awards. Plans are being finalised for the glittering ceremony in Glasgow’s SECC.
The Music of Black Origin awards, which have been held in London since they were established in 1995, will star the cream of R&B, hip hop, reggae and rap from all over the world.
Already the word is out that Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Craig David will be asked to take part in the show, which will be broadcast live on the BBC.

Ne-Yo Urges Leona Lewis To Start Touring

It seems like Leona’s good friend, singer & songwriter Ne-Yo has given our Leona some advice. To start touring to get some experience. Hopefully, on the next album Leona will do a tour.
US R&B star Ne-Yo has urged Leona Lewis to tour in order to gain some more experience.
Ne-Yo, who worked on the former X Factor winner’s debut album ‘Spirit’, said Lewis’s shyness could work against her.
Since winning the reality show in 2006, Lewis has rarely performed live. But the star has still achieved a huge global fan base.
“Leona is very shy, which could be a good or bad thing,” he told the Daily Star newspaer. “In this business, people want to know you so you’ve got to be willing to give it.
“I hope she starts doing shows to build up her stage presence as it’s something you have to train for.”
Lewis played her longest show ever at a private party in Staffordshire last weekend. She is reported to have been paid £1million to play a seven song set.
Meanwhile, Ne-Yo also revealed that he had written more material for Lewis, and described one of the songs as a “big ballad”.
Lewis is currently recording her as-yet-untitled second album, which is due for release in the autumn.

Hey guys, did you hear we’re in a money crunch? Well, if you’re pals with Leona Lewis, just shoot her a Twitter and ask to borrow some of her newly acquired cash.
Word on the street is that a billionaire has paid the “Bleeding Love” singer $1.4 million to perform a set at his daughter’s 21st birthday party. The 23-year-old winner of Britain’s 2006 X-Factor performed “Happy Birthday” as well as her smash single at a mansion in Staffordshire, UK on Saturday night.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Leona was not supposed to do any live shows until next year, but she made an exception.” An exception? For that amount of money, I would have kidnapped Leona and paid some black market guy to perform a “Face-Off” procedure in a dingy basement.
Phones4U founder John Caudwell wanted only the best for his lil’ angel on her special night. MusicToob reports that one guest said: “It was a night Libby [daughter] will certainly never forget. It was like a dream. She has not stopped talking about it ever since.”
“Libby knew something was going to happen, but she just couldn’t believe it when Leona walked on the stage.” Still, what did she expect? Her dad - one of Britain’s richest men - flew Diana Ross in by private jet to perform for his girlfriend’s 40th and has booked Rod Stewart to appear at a private fund raising party in London’s Battersea Park in May.
Yea, you guys have fun with that over there in Britain. All of us Americans will be counting our nickels and moving back in with our parents.
